Android 5.0 "Lollipop" is the latest version of the Android mobile operating system developed by Google. Unveiled on June 25, 2014 during Google I/O, it became available as official over-the-air (OTA) updates on November 12, 2014 for select devices that run distributions of Android serviced by Google, including Nexus and Google Play edition devices. Its source code was made available on November 3, 2014.
Android a very bright visual overhaul and adding a number of useful features Android users.
1. Notifications now show up on the lock screen.
2. Google’s new “Priority Mode” in Lollipop works sort of like a new “do not disturb” system.
3. Guests allows users to create a blank work space for new users.
4. Multitasking is easier to do and makes more sense with Android Lollipop.
5. Android Tap and Go makes transferring data between phones extremely easy.
